April 17, 2007

I've been checking out this forum for several days and I think I'm hooked.

Laurie and I have been camping since we've known each other. We started in an old hand me down tent and progressed through several tents as the family grew (two boys). Finally tired of sleeping on the ground and the hassle of packing up and unpacking each time, we purchased a used pickup camper.

After the boys left home we sold the pickup camper, but I found that I missed the get away. We attended the Reno Air Races one year and rented a Class A. We had a great time and met some of the neatest people in the campground. When back at home I told Laurie I was going to find a used pull behind so I could get away on the weekends. The next thing I know we're shopping for a 5th wheel. After much research and many road trips we found a 2000 HH II and fell in love. Three years later we sold everything and hit the road. We've been enjoying the life style ever since.

In early 2004 we stopped at a Camping World to get a part and rolled out with a new 5th wheel. It was a very pretty unit, but we found out right away it didn't come close to the construction or quality of the Hitchhiker. It was in for repairs more than we got to live in it !  Finally after 11 months of one thing after another we traded it and ordered another Hitchhiker. When the sales person asked why we were trading I told him "That unit is Possessed!" We picked up our new 35 LKRSB last June and as with our first Hitchhiker this one has never been in the shop. Nuwa has us as customers for life.
