All NuWa products are designed for, and considered capable of four season use. To NuWa this means the trailer is capable of withstanding reasonably cold temperatures without freeze up of water systems, and can be occupied comfortably in these reasonably cold temperatures. We don't say our trailer is guaranteed down to any certain temperature, because wind and humidity are factors that also affect the trailer and it's occupants.
NuWa customers have used our products for 40+ years in sub-freezing situations, whether being caught in the unexpected storm, or living in the unit while on the job. Remember that an RV is not capable of being insulated as well as a house. There is no thermal heat coming from the ground, and RV walls are not as thick as a house, and are therefore only capable of providing so much insulation. NuWa's use of Blue Dow foam in sidewalls does create 25%+ greater insulation than most RV's. The floor and roof are extremely well insulated with blanket insulation and/or high tech materials. One of the best indicators of NuWa's superior insulation is the ongoing comment by dealers and customers, that in extreme heat, when one walks into a HitchHiker on a dealer's lot, it is noticeably cooler than other brands. It is obvious this unit is retaining the cooler night temperatures longer.
There are brands of RV's out there "touting" their "high" R-factors, but are not giving the realistic information that customers need. R-factor rating does not always equal more comfort. And there are many brands of 5th wheels out there, that market themselves as "four season", when in fact they really aren't designed for such. "Four season" is a term that can be given many definitions. But to NuWa it means what we think you want it to mean; that the manufacturer has a proven track record of this trailer being capable of performing in temperatures of 20 degrees or lower and 90 degrees or higher. With some practical assistance by the owner, all NuWa products are capable of cold weather or extreme hot weather use. Condensation is one issue that requires attention in cold weather use, and NuWa provides an explanation and guidance pamphlet in each unit. NuWa has no restrictions with use of our trailer for full time living or cold weather usage, but don't assume just because a manufacturer says its trailer is "four season", that your results will be satisfactory.
