Customers purchasing from the factory will complete the purchase process at the time they pick up their new trailer at the factory. The factory provides a full service delivery to the customer, and there is a $420 charge for the customer orientation / unit prep / full LP gas / title and documents processing, etc. for those purchasing from the factory.
This fee varies from dealer to dealer, and NuWa's charge covers but a portion of the actual expense to properly deliver a unit to the new customer. Most customers who purchase from a dealer factory outlet will take delivery at that dealership.
NuWa will accommodate a customer factory delivery of a trailer sold by a dealership, although this requires coordination with NuWa’s service department to fit this into the schedule. Factory pickup will eliminate the freight charges, however the charge of $420 to the dealership for NuWa's PDI/customer orientation will be made. This is appropriate since the dealership does not have to spend the time and expense to complete the delivery.
A factory delivery is comprised of several procedures. Water and LP systems are filled. The trailer goes through an extensive systems and component check prior to your arrival. This procedure is intended to identify as much as possible any component defects or needs for adjustments. At the time of your appointment, the service department will explain and show the operations of various systems and options and patiently address your questions. This two to three hour process typically will take place at the factory, although some of the process might take place at the RV park. It is our strong advice that one to three nights be spent in the RV park, so you have time to acquaint yourself with the operation of all systems, to develop a list of questions for the service department and to further identify any workmanship defects, component failures or adjustments that need attention from the service department before you leave the factory. This is your opportunity to become acquainted with your new trailer and to become comfortable with its functions.
You will become acquainted with representatives of the sales and service department during the process. The RV park is free for three nights, it is pleasant, spacious and conveniently only two minutes from NuWa and WalMart. Two motels are nearby for those who might need lodgings the first night. NuWa can assist with the purchase of a truck locally for those who might want to fly in and take delivery of truck and trailer.
NuWa has a staffed parts store with a large selection of competitively priced parts and accessories, and will soon begin to increase its parts display of aftermarket items that are popular for 5th wheel customers. Installation of items will depend on the availability of service department time. Hitch work will be accommodated at competitive prices, and at present NuWa installs B&W and Reese brand hitches. You or your dealer need to coordinate any hitch work and/or brake control needs with the service department prior to arrival, so this work can be scheduled. Our service department is typically more than scheduled and surprising them may create disappointment.
Payment for any unit picked up at the factory, whether sold by a dealer outlet or the factory outlet must be completed before delivery and the unit is placed in the hands of the new owner. Proof of insurance will also be requested. In some cases advance coordination with your dealer, his finance company, your bank or credit union will be necessary to transfer funds and the title. NuWa offers customer financing, as well as extended service contract products. Payment for a trailer purchased from the factory outlet should be by wire transfer or cashiers check, as personal checks will only delay the transfer of title (unless sent in advance so the check can clear your bank prior to factory delivery). Visa, MasterCard, and Discover are also accepted for parts and service.
