What brands and sizes of tires does NuWa use, and what are the specifications?
(Always realize we will substitute as needed for shortages or quality issues)

While other mass produced RV brands frequently have tire and wheel failures, NuWa has not experienced these types of issues.  Our choice to use more expensive tires and wheels is obviously the reason.

For 2010 the following tire brands and sizes will be used:

ST 235/80R16-"E" load range
Used on most LS, DA, and Tri Axle models, this Towmax tire has been a solid performer for tandem axle units with a GVWR of 15,500 or below.

LT 235/85R16-"G" load range
This Goodyear tire has been used by NuWa for years, and has performed quite well for heavier trailers.  This tire is also available as an option on most LS, DA, and tri-axle CE models.  Tire capacity allows a GVWR of up to 16,500 lbs.

ST 215/75/R17.5-"H" range
This Sumitomo tire is available as an option on tandem axle CE models, and certain large DA models to provide even more GVWR for those customers who want increased load capacity or peace of mind when loaded quite heavily.  This tire is available as a tire only upgrade, or it is also available as a package, which includes disc brakes, Trail Air Center Point Suspension, and 8K axle's.  The package upgrade provides a GVWR in excess of 17,500 lbs for a tandem axle model.

Specifications:
 Towmax ST235/85R16-ELoad rating 3,520 lb @ 80 psi.
 Goodyear LT235/85R16-GLoad rating 3,750 lb @ 110 psi.
Sumitomo ST215/75/R17.5-HLoad rating 4,805 lb @ 125 psi. with 75 MPH wheel rating.

Service Department Customers:   The "H" range tire is especially becoming popular on heavier tandem axle Champagne models.  NuWa allows a 15% discount from normal price for customers who want to replace or upgrade their trailer tires and/or wheels at the factory service department.  Be sure to call for an appointment.
